My name is Rita Joseph- Finlay.
I am a mother of three children, my most honourable achievements in life !
I am also a very proud teacher. I graduated from the University of Wollongong in 1991. I was presented with an employed position immediately in a local Catholic Primary School and hence, started a teaching career which had many personal, academic and professional highlights including being nominated three times for the National Teachers Awards.
In 2014 I graduated with an upgraded Bachelor of Education from Australian Catholic University.
This was followed by a Masters of Educational Leadership in 2015, again from Australian Catholic University.
My digital portfolio is an opportunity to share some of these highlights with you. It is addressed as "web class community" as this is the identity I use also for my education blog site "webclasscommunity" and my "Twitter" account which I also use to engage in teaching, learning and education conversations.
I encourage you to journey with me as I share aspects of my life particularly my teaching life.
At the end of each portfolio page is a list of standards linked to the "aistl - National Professional Standards for Teachers." This will give visitors to my portfolio an idea of my level of commitment to my teaching and my students' learning.
